PARTIAL LIST OF GUELPH RESTAURANTS PROVIDING ORGANIC & LOCAL FOOD FOR ‘ORGANIC WEEK’ (JAN. 25-31, 2010). THE ORGANIC CONFERENCE HAS ACTIVELY PROMOTED THE IDEA OF STAGING AN IN-TOWN, WEEK-LONG ORGANIC FOOD FOCUS TO ALL THESE GUELPH-AREA RESTAURANT-FOODSERVICE BUSINESSES. WE ALSO TRIED TO HAVE ‘ORGANIC WEEK’ DECLARED BY THE CITY BUT THEY DON’T DO PROCLAMATIONS, SO WE DECLARED IT ON OUR OWN. INDEED, THERE ARE ALREADY SEVERAL ORGANIC-FOOD-FOCUS EVENTS STAGED WITHIN THE ACTUAL CONFERENCE ON AND NEAR THE GUELPH CAMPUS (FRIDAY DINNER, ORGANIC MEADOW BANQUET, CHFA EVENT, OTA EVENT, ETC.). BUT MANY OF THE LOCAL ESTABLISHMENTS LISTED BELOW COULD ALSO BE HOSTING TASTINGS, ORGANIC WINE SAMPLINGS, SPECIALS, GOURMET DINNERS AND PRIVATE MEETINGS – SO PHONE THEM !!!
