NAVIGATING THIS CONFERENCE

THIS IS A COMPLEX 4-DAY EVENT.  Go to OVERVIEWS for an introduction, then go to REGISTER to see what is paid and what is free then go to WORKSHOPS to see which programs interest you then go to EXHIBITOR LIST to see the companies in the free “trade event” so you can plan your time at the show.  Above all, if you are still not clear, go to HOW TO REACH SOMEONE and leave Mike Driscoll a crisp message with your detailed inquiry.  See you in Guelph !

GETTING TO THE GUELPH CAMPUS

Is there public transit?
Yes. The bus stops right outside the University Centre main entrance. Also, check the GO and Greyhound schedules for U of Guelph drop points.

Is there parking? Is it free?
Yes, on Saturday and Sunday. There is a large parking lot about a hundred yards or so from the University Centre (that’s Lot P31). For any events on Thursday or Friday parking is not free and must be paid for at P31 or elsewhere on campus (if available). Go to the map page for parking locations.

Are ATM’s available?
Yes. As you enter the University Centre main entrance, take the first hallway to your left and they are on your immediate right.

Where are the washrooms?
As you enter the University Centre main entrance, go down the first hallway on your left.  Also, large washrooms in the U.C. Basement.

Is there a cafeteria?
Yes – on the U.C. Main Level – called ‘Centre 6 Café.’  It serves a wide variety of conventional and organic food, and accepts cash or debit.

Is there wheelchair access?
Yes. Ramps and elevators are easily accessible throughout the University.

How many people attend this annual event?
Usually up to 2,000 people attend, over the four days of the event – Thursday through Sunday.

How do I register for a workshop or seminar?
There are several ways. For a Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday workshop you can register online (using your credit card) or by downloading the brochure + registration forms and mailing it in with your cheque.

Where are PCH, PCH North & PCH South?
Peter Clark Hall is the very large hall located in the Basement of the University Centre, directly below the Main Expo floor.  You use either of the north or south elevators or either of the large sets of stairs on the east side of the Guelph U.C. building, to access Peter Clark Hall Lobby or the Peter Clark Hall Auditorium.  PCH North & South are the 2 wings of this large hall.

Where is the McNaughton Building and the Thornbrough Hall which are mentioned as workshop rooms?
McNaughton is located about 100 steps to the left of the U.C. just out of the north doors.  Thornbrough is 50 steps to the right of the U.C. right across a paved walkway outside the University Centre.
