Organic Week 2012 will be from September 22-29, across Canada. This event was launched by COG and COTAin 2011 as a national celebration of all things organic, and in 2012 COG is a supporter organization. Many activities are organized at the local and regional level by COG Chapters.
COG-Ottawa wants to make this a special week in the region but we need your input. How would you like to see Organic Week celebrated? How would you like to participate?
Some initial ideas of how you can participate during Organic Week include:
- Encourage your Health Food Store to feature organics in a special way
- Suggest to your favorite restaurant that it advertise local organic dishes
- If you are a CSA member, ask your farmer to promote Organic Week
- If you are a farmer, advertise Organic Week at your farmer’s market or in the CSA box
- Volunteer to help COG-Ottawa present Organic Week 2012
